In a letter dated March 13, 2007, Cooper & Stein Realty Corp stated that, in light of significant community opposition, the company has requested that the Nassau County Planning Commission consider an application for a waiver of formal subdivsion map filing requirements to permit the subdivision of the subject parcel into two (2) building lots at 850 Preston Road in East Meadow. If the Nassau County Planning Commission grants the two (2) lot subdivision as proposed, Cooper & Stein Realty Corp will then withdraw the current application pending before the Town of Hempstead Board of Zoning Appeals requesting the four (4) lot subdivision. As such, the hearing before the Hempstead Board of Zoning Appeals originally scheduled for Wednesday, April 18, has been postponed pending the outcome of the decision of the Nassau County Planning Commission.
